A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY
THE MAYOR OF ROBYN MAESTAS, ANTHONY PERKO,
AND JAN SCHRANER TO THE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City
Council of his appointment of Robyn Maestas, Anthony Perko, and Jan Schraner to the
Historic Preservation Commission to serve four-year terms expiring January 1, 2027;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Robyn Maestas, Anthony Perko, and Jan Schraner are hereby appointed to the
Historic Preservation Commission to serve four-year terms expiring January 1, 2027.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

OF ROBYN MAESTAS, ANTHONY PERKO, AND JAN SCHRANER TO
THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of members to the Historic
Preservation Commission to serve four-year terms expiring January 1, 2023.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council has made appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission selecting
individuals to serve terms which expire during a calendar year. Amended City Charter
Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to
confirmation by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expirations of Gregory Howell, Anthony Perko, and Susan McCarthy,
there are three appointments available to serve a four-year term on the Historic
Preservation Commission. Following an announcement in the Pueblo Chieftain and on
the City’s webpage and social media seeking volunteers to serve on this committee,
applications from two new applicants and one wishing to reapply were received and
reviewed by Mayor Gradisar.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
