HomeMy WebLinkAbout15103 RESOLUTION NO. 15103 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF ROYAL TRIVETT TO THE REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION’S ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS WHEREAS, this Resolution ratifies the joint appointment made following the PACOG meeting on December 8, 2022, by City-County Representatives who were present; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. Royal Trivett is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building – Electrical Board of Appeals to complete a three-year term expiring July 1, 2023 as a contractor. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF ROYAL TRIVETT TO THE REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION’S ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS SUMMARY: This resolution ratifies the joint City-County appointment of a general contractor to the Regional Building Commission’s Electrical Board of Appeals to complete a three-year term expiring July 1, 2023. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Joint City-County appointments to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission are made st on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve three-year terms expiring on July 1 of each year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity. BACKGROUND: There is a vacancy on the Pueblo Regional Building – Electrical Board of Appeals for a contractor expiring July 1, 2023. Following the PACOG meeting on December 8, 2022, the BOCC and City Council members reviewed the application and appointed Royal Trivett to the position. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional applications for consideration.
