RESOLUTION NO. 15099
A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE
AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT PUEBLO COMMUNITY
GARDENS PROJECT FROM DECEMBER 31, 2022 UNTIL
DECEMBER 31, 2024
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The term of the Project shall be and hereby is enlarged and extended by two (2)
years from December 31, 2022 until December 31, 2024.
SECTION 2.
Resolution No. 14708, dated September 13, 2021, is hereby ratified and shall
remain in full force and effect, except as amended by this Resolution.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 4.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AMERICAN
RESCUE PLAN ACT PUEBLO COMMUNITY GARDENS PROJECT
FROM DECEMBER 31, 2022 UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2024
SUMMARY:
This Resolution extends the term of the American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) Pueblo
Community Gardens Project by two (2) years, from December 31, 2022 until December
31, 2024.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
By Resolution No. 14708, on September 13, 2021, City Council approved the
expenditure of ARPA funds in the amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) from
Project No. CI2113 – American Rescue Plan Act, to the City of Pueblo’s Pueblo Food
Project, for purposes of administering the Pueblo Community Gardens Project
(“Project”). This Project has succeeded in mitigating hunger and food insecurity in our
community.
BACKGROUND:
The Project was a success in 2022 and the expenditure of the remaining funds of
approximately $8,408.09 will enable the Project to continue in 2023 and perhaps 2024.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None. This Resolution does not authorize the expenditure of additional ARPA funds.

Not applicable to this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could decide not to approve the additional time for completion of the
Pueblo Community Gardens Project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
