A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $10,000 FROM
THE COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION, TO SUPPORT THE
WELLBEING OF PUEBLO FOOD PROJECT STAFF MEMBERS,
INTO CONTRIBUTION PROJECT NO. CO2204
WHEREAS, a donation was given by The Colorado Health Foundation in the amount of
$10,000.00, intended for activities and programming that will support the mental and physical
wellbeing of Pueblo Food Project staff; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
City Council authorizes the acceptance of $10,000.00 from The Colorado Health
Foundation to the City of Pueblo - Pueblo Food Project.
SECTION 2.
The funds will be used for activities and programming that will support the mental and
physical wellbeing of Pueblo Food Project staff.
SECTION 3.
Funds for this donation will be placed in Contribution Project No. CO2204.
SECTION 4.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent
with the intent of this Resolution to implement the transactions described herein.
SECTION 5.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a resolution accepting this donation of $10,000.00 for the Pueblo Food
Project.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council previously accepted 4 grants from the Colorado Health Foundation in
support of Pueblo Food Project.
BACKGROUND:
The Colorado Health Foundation has been monitoring the increasing strain on the
nonprofit sector based on its relationships and connections with grantees. Through
insight and feedback into the roles staff juggle on a daily basis, it understands the
importance staff wellbeing plays in an organization’s ability to advance the important
work the organization does in and for community.
This donation from The Colorado Health Foundation to the City of Pueblo’s Pueblo
Food Project, like similar donations to many other organizations, is intended for
activities and programming that will support the mental and physical wellbeing of
Pueblo Food Project staff.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This $10,000.00 donation will be received for the stated purpose without any in-kind
match on the part of the City.

Not applicable to this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
Not accept the donation and return the funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
