HomeMy WebLinkAbout15044*RESOLUTION NO. 15044 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $37,552.30 TO SASQUATCH FLOORING, LLC., A COLORADO LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY FOR PROJECT NO. 22-074, REPLACE FLOORING IN THE MUNICIPAL COURT AREA AT PUEBLO MUNICIPAL JUSTICE CENTER (PMJC), SETTING FORTH $3,755.23 FOR CONTINGENCIES, AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, informal bids for Project No. 22-074, Replace Flooring in the Municipal Court Area at the Pueblo Municipal Justice Center have been received and examined; and WHEREAS, the proposal of Sasquatch Flooring, LLC., a Colorado Limited Liability Company, was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsive; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. City Council authorizes Project No. 22-074, Replace Flooring in the Municipal Court Area at the Pueblo Municipal Justice Center to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Sasquatch Flooring, LLC., a Colorado Limited Liability Company in the amount of $37,552.30. SECTION 2. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Pueblo, a Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same. SECTION 3. In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work. Contingencies and Additional Work………$3,755.23 SECTION 4. Funds for Project 20-074 (including contingencies and additional work), in the amount of $29,133.53 shall be from Project No. CIAN20, City Building Repairs. Funds in the amount of $12,174.00 shall be paid from the Municipal Court operating budget. SECTION 5. The officers of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Each year, the City Council provides funding for City Building Repairs. The most recent Ordinance, No. 10050, adopted on November 22, 2021, budgeted $205,000 for Public Building Repairs & Maintenance. BACKGROUND: The existing flooring in the Municipal Court area is de-laminating and creating a tripping hazard. The Project will include the removal and disposal of the existing carpet tiles and cove base and installing new flooring and cove base in the Municipal Court area at PMJC. The Resolution awards the Construction Contract to Sasquatch Flooring LLC., a Colorado Limited Liability Company. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funding (including contingencies) in the amount of $29,133.53 will be paid from CIAN20 City Building Repairs. Funding in the amount of $12,174 will be paid from the Municipal Court operating budget. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None.
