A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2022
GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE LATINO CHAMBER
DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
$1,025 TO SUPPORT THE 11TH ANNUAL “FESTIVAL OF
TREES” EVENT ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 2022, AT
5 PM AT THE PUEBLO UNION DEPOT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,025 from the Council Contingencies Account in the
2022 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Pueblo Latino Chamber
Foundation to support the 11th Annual “Festival of Trees” event on Thursday,
December 8, 2022, at 5 pm at the Pueblo Union Depot.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures
described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is a request for support of the 11th Annual “Festival of
Trees” event on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 5 pm at the Pueblo Union Depot with
a gold sponsorship and decorated tree.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
City Council Member Sarah Martinez is requesting $1,025 to sponsor the 11th Annual
“Festival of Trees” event on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 5 pm at the Pueblo Union
Depot with a gold sponsorship and decorated tree. This Holiday Happy Hour is an
excellent opportunity to educate and inform the Pueblo business community and it’s
also a great event to mix and mingle in a relaxed, social environment. A portion of the
night’s proceeds will benefit United Way of Pueblo County.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $1,025 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account
in the 2022 General Fund Budget to the Latino Chamber Development Foundation.

ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this event.
RECOMMENDATION:
