HomeMy WebLinkAbout15036 RESOLUTION NO. 15036 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG'S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF BRIAN GRAY TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION'S BOARD OF APPEALS AS A GENERAL CONTRACTOR WHEREAS, this Resolution ratifies the joint appointment made following the PACOG meeting on September 22, 2022, by City-County Representatives who were present; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. Brian Gray is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission's Building Board of Appeals to complete a three-year term expiring July 1, 2024 as a general contractor. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the appointment described therein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG'S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF BRIAN GRAY TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION'S BOARD OF APPEALS AS A GENERAL CONTRACTOR SUMMARY: This resolution ratifies the joint City-County appointment of a general contractor to the Regional Building Commission’s Building Board of Appeals to complete a three-year term expiring July 1, 2024. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Joint City-County appointments to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission are made st on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve three-year terms expiring on July 1 of each year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity. BACKGROUND: There is one vacancy on the Building Board of Appeals for a contractor expiring July 1, 2024. The City coordinated the promotion of the vacancies and received an application from Brian Gray. Following the PACOG meeting on September 22, 2022, the BOCC and City Council members reviewed the application and appointed Brian Gray to the position. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None ALTERNATIVES: City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional applications for consideration.
