HomeMy WebLinkAbout15038 RESOLUTION NO. 15038 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF REBECCA KNAPP TO THE STREETSCAPE ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his reappointment of Rebecca Knapp to the Streetscape Advisory Committee to serve a three-year term expiring November 1, 2024; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that SECTION 1. Rebecca Knapp is hereby appointed to the Streetscape Advisory Committee to serve a three-year term expiring November 1, 2025. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the appointment described therein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF REBECCA KNAPP TO THE STREETSCAPE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to serve a three- year term expiring November 1, 2025. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Pueblo Streetscape Advisory Committee selecting individuals to serve terms which expire at the end of a particular calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to term expiration of Rebecca Knapp, there is one appointment available to serve a three-year term expiring November 1, 2025 on the Pueblo Streetscape Advisory Committee. Rebecca was the only applicant and is eligible for reappointment. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: The Committee recommends approval of this applicant. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
