As you may recall, this was a FREE Christmas event which brought the public together to celebrate this special time of year. It was a great success! Attendance was impressive. As we embark on our 36th Season, titled The Power of Music, we would like to again have our Christmas Concert at Memorial Hall. We will be inviting a variety of local musical groups to join us, including other choirs and local brass and string ensembles. You are most certainly aware that there are many costs involved in using this venue. The Pueblo Choral Society is a non-profit organization whose members are all volunteers. Therefore, we rely on the generous donations of our sponsors and advertisers, in addition to ticket sales, to present quality concerts to the community. In order to produce this special concert, we humbly ask the City Council to support us with $6,500.00. This will allow us to cover the expenses of Memorial Hall, as well as the hiring of some additional performing groups. I am enclosing a copy of last year's invoice from Spectra. Kevin Ortiz has assured us the cost would remain the same as last year. We greatly appreciate your thoughtful consideration of our request and value your support in making this concert possible. Sincerely, Judith _'-t. alistal1 Judith A. Hastall Past President Page 1 of 1
