A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
BUDGETED AND APPROPRIATED FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF $124,319.90 FROM PROJECT NO. SR2101 -
STREET REHABILITATION - NORTHERN AVENUE,
BROADWAY AVENUE, HIGH STREET, GRAND AVENUE,
W. 24TH STREET, AND HUDSON AVENUE TO PROJECT
NO. SR2003 - STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT -
FORTINO, OUTLOOK, GREENWOOD, AND EAGLERIDGE
AND CLOSING OUT PROJECT NO. SR2003
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that
SECTION 1.
The transfer of previously budgeted and appropriated funds in the amount of
$124,319.90 from Project No. SR2101 - Street Rehabilitation - Northern Avenue,
Broadway Avenue, High Street, Grand Avenue, W. 24th Street, and Hudson Avenue to
Project No. SR2003 - Street Rehabilitation Project - Fortino, Outlook, Greenwood, and
Eagleridge is hereby approved.
SECTION 2.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

GREENWOOD, AND EAGLERIDGE AND CLOSING OUT PROJECT

SUMMARY:
This resolution approves the transfer of previously budgeted and appropriated funds in
the amount of $124,319.90 from Project No. SR2101 - Street Rehabilitation - Northern
Avenue, Broadway Avenue, High Street, Grand Avenue, W. 24th Street, and Hudson
Avenue to Project No. SR2003 - Street Rehabilitation Project - Fortino, Outlook,
Greenwood, and Eagleridge. The resolution also closes out Project SR2003.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On July 27, 2020, by Ordinance No. 9745, Council approved the establishment of
Project No. SR2003 - Street Rehabilitation Project - Fortino, Outlook, Greenwood, and
Eagleridge and budgeted and appropriated $2,482,454.29 for the project.
On November 23, 2020, by Ordinance No. 9817, Council approved the establishment of
Project No. SR2101 - Street Rehabilitation - Northern Avenue, Broadway Avenue, High
Street, Grand Avenue, W. 24th Street, and Hudson Avenue as part of the City's 2021
Annual Budget and $3,000,000.00 was budgeted and appropriated for the project.
On July 27, 2020, by Resolution No. 14447, Council approved the award of a
construction contract (20-035) in the amount of $3,344,717.50 to Martin Marietta
Materials Inc. and set aside another $502,000.00 for contingencies and additional work
for the repair of multiple streets (Fortino Boulevard, Outlook Boulevard, Greenwood
Street, and Eagleridge Boulevard).
On November 23, 2020, by Resolution 14514, Council approved the amendment of
contract 20-035 in the amount of $3,705,729.00 and set aside another $370,000.00 for
contingencies and additional work for the repair of additional streets (High Street, Grand
Avenue, Broadway Avenue, E. Northern Avenue, W. 24th Street, and Hudson Avenue).
BACKGROUND:
Project No. SR2003 was initially created to perform road repairs on Fortino, Outlook,
Greenwood, and Eagleridge in 2020. While work on those streets was active, additional
road repair requirements were identified on other streets (High Street, Grand Avenue,
Broadway Avenue, E. Northern Avenue, W. 24th Street, and Hudson Avenue) and
additional funds were budgeted and appropriated to the project. This resolution will
ensure there are appropriate funds available in project SR2003 to complete the repairs
and close out the project.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Transferring the funds as described herein will ensure there are appropriate funds
available in Project No. SR2003.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not applicable to this resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
If this resolution is not approved by Council, there will not be appropriate funds in
Project SR2003 to close out the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the resolution.
