HomeMy WebLinkAbout15005 RESOLUTION NO. 15005 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2022 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO THE PUEBLO DISTRICT 60 EDUCATION FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO SUPPORT CORNHOLE AT THE DUTCH, A FUNDRAISER BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2022 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Pueblo District 60 Education st Foundation for its October 1 fundraiser called Cornhole at the Dutch. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: City Council Member Sarah Martinez is requesting $1,000 for the Cornhole at the Dutch fundraiser for the Pueblo District 60 Education Foundation which will take place on Saturday, October 1, 2022. The Pueblo School District 60 Education Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to enriching the educational experience of scholars by providing teachers with the financial support needed to bring innovative and productive educational concepts to fruition. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2022 General Fund Budget to the Pueblo District 60 Education Foundation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not Applicable. ALTERNATIVES: City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this association.
