A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENTS BY THE
MAYOR OF ELIZABETH CHAPMAN AND CARMA LOONTJER TO
THE LIQUOR AND BEER LICENSING BOARD
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City
Council of his appointment of Elizabeth Chapman and Carma Loontjer to Liquor and Beer
Licensing Board to serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2026; NOW, THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Liquor and Beer Licensing
Board to serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2026.

SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

LICENSING BOARD
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointments by the Mayor of members to the to serve a four-year
term expiring August 1, 2026.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council has made appointments to the Pueblo Liquor and Beer Licensing Board selecting
individuals to serve terms which expire at the end during a calendar year. Amended City Charter
Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to
confirmation by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expirations of Liz Chapman and Tony Pullaro, there are two spots available to
serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2026 on the Liquor and Beer Licensing Board.
Following an announcement on the City’s webpage and social media seeking volunteers to serve
on this committee, four applications were received. Following interviews with applicants, Mayor
Gradisar has appointed Ms. Chapman and Ms. Loontjer.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Members of the Liquor and Beer Licensing Board are paid $25.00 per meeting attended.

None.

None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
