A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY
THE MAYOR OF SUSAN MCCARTHY TO THE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City
Council of his appointment of Susan McCarthy to the Historic Preservation Commission
to complete a four-year term expiring January 1, 2023; NOW, THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following individual is hereby appointed to the Historic Preservation
Commission to complete a four-year term expiring January 1, 2023.

SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF
SUSAN MCCARTHY TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to the Historic Preservation
Commission to complete a four-year term expiring January 1, 2023.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council has made appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission selecting
individuals to serve terms which expire during a calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-
4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City
Council.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the resignation of Angela Rayne, there is one appointment available to complete a four-
year term on the Historic Preservation Commission.
Following an announcement on the City’s webpage and social media seeking volunteers to serve
on this committee, an application was received from Ms. McCarthy.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
