SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of members to the Retail and Medical
Marijuana Licensing Authority to serve a four-year term expiring July 1, 2026.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council has made appointments to the Retail and Medical Marijuana Licensing Authority
selecting individuals to serve terms which expire during a calendar year. Amended City Charter
Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to
confirmation by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expirations of Kim Archuletta and Tom Rose, there are 2 spots available for a
member to serve a four-year term on the Retail & Medical Marijuana Licensing Authority.
Following an announcement on the City’s webpage and social media and in the Pueblo Chieftain
seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, four applications were received. Mayor Gradisar
reviewed the applications and met with the board liaison. Both Kim Archuletta and Tom Rose
were selected for reappointment.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
