Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his appointment of Suzanne Kuehn to the Historic Preservation Commission to complete a four-year term expiring January 1, 2025; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The following individual is hereby appointed to the Historic Preservation Commission to complete a four-year term expiring January 1, 2025. ___Suzanne Kuehn__ SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF SUZANNE KUEHN TO THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to the Historic Preservation Commission to complete a four-year term expiring January 1, 2025. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission selecting individuals to serve terms which expire during a calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4- 4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to the resignations of Jason Falsetto and Angela Rayne, there are two appointments available to serve a four-year term on the Historic Preservation Commission. Following an announcement on the City’s webpage and social media seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, one application was received from Ms. Kuehn. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None.
