HomeMy WebLinkAbout14878RESOLUTION NO. 14878 A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF EILEEN DENNIS TO THE PUEBLO DEPOT ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS AKA PUEBLOPLEX WHEREAS, this Resolution ratifies the joint appointment made following the PACOG meeting on April 28, 2022, by City-County Representatives who were present; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority Board of Directors to serve a four-year term expiring May 9, 2026. Eileen Dennis SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION RATIFYING PACOG’S JOINT APPOINTMENT OF EILEEN DENNIS TO THE PUEBLO DEPOT ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BOARD OF DIRECTORS AKA PUEBLOPLEX SUMMARY: This Resolution ratifies the joint City-County selection to the Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority Board of Directors to serve a four-year term expiring May 9, 2026. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Appointments to this Board of Directors are made on an annual basis selecting individuals to th serve four-year terms expiring on May 9 of each year. BACKGROUND: Due to the term expiration of Board Member Eileen Dennis there is one joint City-County appointment on the Pueblo Depot Activity Development Authority Board of Directors. Ms. Dennis does wish to be considered for reappointment. Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City Clerk’s webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, no new applications were received. Ms. Eileen Dennis’ application was reviewed following the PACOG meeting held on April 28, 2022, and accepted for reappointment. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None ALTERNATIVES: City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional applications for consideration.
