HomeMy WebLinkAbout14875RESOLUTION NO. 14875 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,280 TO MONTANO CONCRETE, INC AND SETTING FORTH $12,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR PROJECT NO. 22-018 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS AT DUTCH CLARK STADIUM AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, competitive bids for the Project No. 22-018 Sidewalk Improvements at Dutch Clark Stadium have been received and examined; and WHEREAS, the proposal of Montano Concrete, Inc., was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council that it authorize Project No. 22-018 to be performed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. City Council authorizes Project No. 22-018 Sidewalk Improvements at Dutch Clark Stadium to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Montano Concrete, Inc., in the amount of $42,280.00. SECTION 2. th Funds for Project 22-018 shall be from Project No. CD2018 W. 18 Street Expansion. SECTION 3. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Pueblo, A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest same. SECTION 4. In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work. Contingencies and Additional Work………$12,000.00 SECTION 5. The officers and staff of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the contract to implement the transactions described therein. SECTION 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. Hayes, P.E., Director of Public Works SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $42,280 TO MONTANO CONCRETE, INC AND SETTING FORTH $12,000 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR PROJECT NO. 22-018 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS AT DUTCH CLARK STADIUM AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME SUMMARY: Attached is a resolution awarding a construction contract to Montano Concrete, Inc., for Project No. 22-018 Sidewalk Improvements at Dutch Clark Stadium. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: The City of Pueblo’s 2020 Annual Action Plan that was approved on June 15, 2021, Ordinance No. 9951 created Project CD2018. BACKGROUND: In general, this project consists of asphalt removal and construction of a new six-foot wide concrete trail in front of Dutch Clark Stadium. This project is going to be paid for using CDBG th funds, appropriated from the W. 18 Street Expansion project No. CD2018 in accordance with Bryan Gallagher, Department Director, Housing and Citizen Services. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funding (including contingencies) in the amount of $54,280 will be paid from account CD2018 W. th 18 Street Expansion. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: None. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. Attachments: Bid Summary Sheet
