SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF $100,000 FROM
PROJECT NO. CI2204 TO PROJECT NO. CI2206 FOR THE ADAMS AVENUE
AND JACKSON STREET ROUNDABOUT PROJECT
SUMMARY:
Attached is a resolution to approve the transfer of funds in the amount of $100,000 from Project
No. CI2204 to Project No. CI2206.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Project No. CI2206 Adams Avenue and Jackson Street Roundabout Project was established by
Ordinance No. 10120, passed on February 14, 2022. The same ordinance also budgeted and
appropriated funds in the amount of $900,000 received from the Colorado Department of
Transportation (CDOT) under the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Grant.
BACKGROUND:
The City of Pueblo was awarded a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Grant with an
overall project cost of $1,000,000. CDOT will provide $900,000 of the project funding and under
the grant agreement, the City of Pueblo is required to provide 10% of the project funding in the
amount of $100,000.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $100,000 are to be transferred from Project No. CI2204 to Project No.
CI2206 as the City of Pueblo match for the HSIP Grant.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
There are no alternatives for completing these improvements without the funding from the HISP
Grant or the transferring of the $100,000 from Project No. CI2204 to Project No. CI2206. If the
$100,000 Match is not provided, the City of Pueblo cannot take advantage of the awarded HSIP
Grant.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
