A RESOLUTION APPOINTING COUNCILOR LARRY ATENCIO
TO THE PUEBLO CITY-COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT BOARD
OF TRUSTEES APPOINTMENT COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, on January 24, 2022, City Council confirmed the appointment of Lori Winner
to the Pueblo City-County Library District Board of Trustees Appointment Committee for a one-
year term expiring January 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Councilor Winner has since resigned from this position; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo City-County Library District
Board of Trustees Appointment Committee of Directors for a term expiring January 31, 2023:

SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by and City Council.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints City Council Member Larry Atencio to the Pueblo City-County Library
District Board of Trustees Appointment Committee for a term expiring January 31, 2023.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Resolution No. 14797, section 1, dated January 24, 2022 appointed Lori Winner to the Pueblo
City-County Library District Board of Trustees Appointment Committee. Ms. Winner has resigned
from this position.
BACKGROUND:
Annual appointments are made assigning a City Council representative to serve on Boards and
Commissions where it is either required by legislation that a Council Member be a member, or it
has been the policy to have a Council Member serve on a particular Board or Commission. The
existing appointee, Lori Winner, has resigned from this position, requiring a new appointment.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council has the option of appointing a member of City Council other than Mr. Atencio to the
Board.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
