A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $28,673.40 TO DOUG VAUGHN LLC AND
SETTING FORTH $3,326.60 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR
PROJECT NO. 22-005 CONSTRUCT CROSSPAN AT 12TH AND
HUDSON AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
EXECUTE SAME

WHEREAS, competitive bids for the Project No. 22-005 Construct Crosspan at 12 and
Hudson have been received and examined; and
WHEREAS, the proposal from Doug Vaughn LLC, was the lowest of those bids
determined to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council that
it authorize Project No. 22-005 to be performed; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.

City Council authorizes Project No. 22-005 Construct Crosspan at 12 and Hudson to be
performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Doug Vaughn LLC in the amount
of $28,673.40.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $28,673.40 for Project 22-005 shall be from Project No. HUAN03
Cross Pan/Curb and Gutter Project.
SECTION 3.
The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of Pueblo, A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and
attest the same.
SECTION 4.
In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as
stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work shall be paid
from Project No. HUAN03 Cross Pan/Curb and Gutter Project.
Contingencies and Additional Work………$3,326.60
SECTION 5.
The officers and staff of the City of Pueblo are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the contract to effectuate the transactions
described therein.
SECTION 6.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached is a resolution awarding a construction contract to Doug Vaughn LLC for Project No. 22-

005 Construct Crosspan at 12 and Hudson.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None
BACKGROUND:
In general, this project consists of the demolition and construction of a new 12-foot crosspan at
12th St. and Hudson Avenue, and the demolition and construction of new directional ADA
complaint curb ramps on the northwest and northeast corners.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funding (including contingencies) in the amount of $32,000.00 will be paid from account HUAN03
Cross Pan/Curb and Gutter Project.
