A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF ADELIA
HAYES TO THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of
his ratification of Adelia Hayes to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission to complete a one-
year term expiring December 31, 2022; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission
to complete a one-year term expiring December 31, 2022.

SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF ADELIA HAYES TO
THE PUEBLO HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION
SUMMARY:
This Resolution ratifies the joint City-County youth appointment to the Human Relations
Commission for a one-year term.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Joint Youth City-County appointments to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission are made on
st
an annual basis selecting individuals to serve one-year terms expiring on December 31 of each
year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity.
BACKGROUND:
There is one vacancy for a youth appointment to the Pueblo Human Relations Commission. The
recruitment process for 2021 was handled by County staff.
Following the BOCC meeting on November 22, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners
reviewed and accepted Adelia for appointment.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

None
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the
Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional
applications for consideration.
