Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his ratification of Ace Spriggs to the Pueblo Regional Building – Electrical Board of Appeals to complete a three-year term expiring July 1, 2023 and Daniel Henderson and Charles Montera for reappointment to serve three-year terms expiring July 1, 2024; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building – Electrical Board of Appeals to complete a three-year term expiring July 1, 2023. ___Ace Spriggs__ SECTION 2. The following individuals are hereby reappointed to the Pueblo Regional Building – Electrical Board of Appeals to serve a three-year term expiring July 1, 2024. ___Daniel Henderson__ ___Charles Montera__ SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointments described herein. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ACE SPRIGGS, DANIEL HENDERSON, AND CHARLES MONTERA TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING – ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS - JOINT CITY-COUNTY APPOINTMENTS SUMMARY: This Resolution ratifies the joint City-County appointments to the Regional Building Commission for three-year terms. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Joint City-County appointments to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission are made on an st annual basis selecting individuals to serve three-year terms expiring on October 1 of each year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity. BACKGROUND: There are three vacancies on the Pueblo Regional Building – Electrical Board of Appeals due to the resignation of Matt Klein, with a term expiring on July 1, 2023, and term expirations of Daniel Henderson and Charles Montera. The recruitment process for 2021 was handled by County staff. Following the PACOG meeting on September 23, 2021, the BOCC and City Council members reviewed and accepted all three applications for appointment/reappointment. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional applications for consideration.
