A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT
BY THE MAYOR OF MACLOVIO MARTINEZ AND
JOHN SCANIO TO THE SOUTHPOINTE SPECIAL
IMPROVEMENT MAINTENANCE DISTRICT ADVISORY
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City
Council of his appointment of Maclovio Martinez and John Scanio to the SouthPointe
Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The appointment by the Mayor of the following individuals to the SouthPointe
Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory Committee, shall be and is hereby
confirmed by the City Council.
__Maclovio Martinez
__John Scanio
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage.

IMPROVEMENT MAINTENANCE DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
SUMMARY
This Resolution appoints individuals to the Southpointe Special Improvement Maintenance
District Advisory Committee.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
City Council has made appointments to the Southpointe Special Improvement Maintenance
District Advisory Committee. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such
appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council.
BACKGROUND
Due to Incumbent Brian Lucas no longer being a resident of the subdivision, and the resignation
of Incumbent Brian Robinson ahead of plans to move later this year, there are two appointments
available to serve on the SouthPointe Special Improvement Maintenance District Advisory
Committee.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

None.
ALTERNATIVES
Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of the Resolution.
