Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk’s Office FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF MATT CORDOVA TO THE PUEBLO CONSERVANCY DISTRICT SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of members to serve a five-year term expiring July 31, 2026 on the Pueblo Conservancy District. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Pueblo Conservancy District selecting individuals to serve terms which expire at the end of a particular calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to the term expiration of Incumbent Matt Cordova, there is one appointment available to serve a five-year term expiring July 31, 2026. This applicant is a current member of the board and wishes to be considered for reappointment. Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain, an announcement on the City Clerk’s webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this board, no other applications were received. Mr. Cordova’s application was reviewed by Mayor Gradisar and has recommended that the Incumbent be reappointed. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: There are no financial implications to the City of Pueblo; however, appointed members receive a monthly stipend of $200.00 paid by the Pueblo Conservancy District.
