Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his appointment of the following individual to the Housing Authority of the City of Pueblo to serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2025. Steve Anselmo BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1 The following individual is hereby appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals to serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2025. Steve Anselmo SECTION 2 The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF STEVE ANSELMO TO THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to the Zoning Board of Appeals to serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2025. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Zoning Board of Appeals selecting individuals to serve terms which expire at the end of a particular calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to the term expiration of Steve Anselmo, there is one spot available to serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2025, on the Zoning Board of Appeals. Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City’s social media and webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this Board, one application was received from Steve Anselmo wishing to be considered for reappointment. The application was reviewed by Mayor Gradisar and his recommendation is to reappoint Mr. Anselmo. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals receive $25.00 for each regular or special meeting actually attended. The Chairman of the Board receives as additional compensation the sum of $50.00 per month for each month of service as Chairman. These monies are allocated in the Planning and Community Services annual budget. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
