STEVE ANSELMO TO THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
SUMMARY:
This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to the Zoning Board of
Appeals to serve a four-year term expiring June 30, 2025.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council has made appointments to the Zoning Board of Appeals selecting individuals to
serve terms which expire at the end of a particular calendar year. Amended City Charter
Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to
confirmation by City Council.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Steve Anselmo, there is one spot available to serve a four-year
term expiring June 30, 2025, on the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the
City’s social media and webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this Board, one application was
received from Steve Anselmo wishing to be considered for reappointment.
The application was reviewed by Mayor Gradisar and his recommendation is to reappoint Mr.
Anselmo.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Members of the Zoning Board of Appeals receive $25.00 for each regular or special meeting
actually attended. The Chairman of the Board receives as additional compensation the sum of
$50.00 per month for each month of service as Chairman. These monies are allocated in the
Planning and Community Services annual budget.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications.
