A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PROJECT HU2102 –
PORTLAND AVENUE ROADWAY & CONCRETE REPAIR,
BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING EIGHT HUNDRED
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($800,000) TO PROJECT HU2102 AND
TRANSFERRING EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS
($800,000) FROM PROJECT HU9998 – HUTF PROJECTS TO BE
DETERMINED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Project HU2102 is hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) are budgeted and
appropriated transferring funds from project account HU9998 to HU2102.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with
this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution establishes Project HU2102 – Portland Avenue Roadway & Concrete Repair and
approves transferring funds allocated for HUTF projects. The amount of transfer totals $800,000
th
and is intended to repair Portland Ave from East 4 Street to the railroad bridge.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
During the City’s initial review and assessment of City street conditions Portland Avenue was not
considered for rehabilitation. However, during the City’s ongoing street assessments and after
receiving many citizen concerns for safety due to the rapidly deteriorating condition of the driving
surface, the City has determined that this section of roadway requires immediate reconstruction.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $800,000 are being transferred from Project Account HU9998 to Project
Account HU2102.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
If this Resolution is not approved, there will be no funding in Project Number HU2102 and Portland
Avenue will have to wait for funds to be available pushing the rehabilitation until 2025.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Resolution.
