HomeMy WebLinkAbout14650 RESOLUTION NO. 14650 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF ZACH PITTMAN, KRISTIN BLACKBURN, MATTHEW LARIMORE, AND STEPHEN WORLEY TO THE HONOR FARM ENTERPRISE CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his appointments of four individuals to the Honor Farm Enterprise Citizens Advisory Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that: SECTION 1. The appointment by the Mayor of the following individuals to the Honor Farm Enterprise Citizens Advisory Board to serve a four-year term expiring August 1, 2025 shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. Kristin Blackburn Zach Pittman Stephen Worley SECTION 2. The appointment by the Mayor of the following individuals to the Honor Farm Enterprise Citizens Advisory Board to complete a four-year term expiring August 1, 2024 shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. Matthew Larimore SECTION 3. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Marisa Stoller, City Clerk FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF ZACH PITTMAN, KRISTIN BLACKBURN, MATTHEW LARIMORE, AND STEPHEN WORLEY TO THE HONOR FARM ENTERPRISE CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of members to the Honor Farm Enterprise Citizens Advisory Board. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Honor Farm Enterprise Citizens Advisory Board selecting individuals to serve terms which expire during a calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to the term expirations of Michael Riley and Zach Pittman, the passing of Edward Butkovich, Jr., and the resignation of Brian Lenherr, there are three appointments available to serve a four- year term expiring August 1, 2025, and there is one appointment to complete a four-year term expiring August 1, 2024, on the Honor Farm Enterprise Citizens Advisory Board. Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City’s webpage and social media seeking volunteers to serve on this Board, five new applications were received from Kristin Blackburn, Matthew Larimore, Stephen Worley, Michael Riley, and Zach Pittman. The applications were reviewed by Mayor Gradisar and his recommendation is to appoint Kristin Blackburn, Stephen Worley, and Zach Pittman for serve four-year terms expiring August 1, 2025, and Matthew Larimore to complete a four-year term expiring August 1, 2024. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applicants. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Resolution
