HomeMy WebLinkAbout14621 RESOLUTION NO. 14621 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF LARRY ATENCIO TO COMPLETE A ONE-YEAR TERM EXPIRING JANUARY 31, 2022 ON THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his appointment of the following individual to complete a one-year term expiring January 31, 2022 on the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1: The appointment by the Mayor of the following individual to the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee to complete a one-year term expiring January 31, 2022 shall be and is hereby confirmed by the City Council. Larry Atencio SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and all acts consistent with this Resolution to implement the appointment described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Mayor’s Office FROM: Alyssa Parga, Secretary to the Mayor SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF LARRY ATENCIO TO COMPLETE A ONE-YEAR TERM EXPIRING JANUARY 31, 2022 ON THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to complete a one-year term expiring January 31, 2022 on the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee selecting individuals to serve terms which expire during a calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to the vacancy left from the resignation of Incumbent Lori Winner, there is one City Council representative appointment available to complete a one-year term expiring January 31, 2022 on the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee. The application was reviewed by Mayor Gradisar who has appointed Larry Atencio to complete a one-year term expiring January 31, 2022. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer commission and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: Remove from agenda and re-advertise for additional applications. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution. ATTACHMENTS: Proposed Resolution
