HomeMy WebLinkAbout14618 RESOLUTION NO. 14618 A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF $80,259.03 TO CEDAR RIDGE LANDSCAPE, INC. AND SETTING FORTH $8,100 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR PROJECT NO. 21-032R (CD1916) SANTA FE AVENUE AND MESA AVENUE STREETSCAPE (CDBG) AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME WHEREAS, competitive bids for the Project No. 21-032R (CD1916) Santa Fe Avenue and Mesa Avenue Streetscape (CDBG) have been received and examined; and WHEREAS, the proposal of Cedar Ridge Landscape, Inc., of Pueblo, Colorado was the lowest of those bids determined to be responsive, and the Committee of Awards recommends to the City Council that it authorize Project No. 21-032R (CD1916) to be performed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. City Council authorizes Project No. 21-032R (CD1916) Santa Fe Avenue and Mesa Avenue Streetscape (CDBG) to be performed, and the contract for said project is hereby awarded to Cedar Ridge Landscape, Inc., in the amount of $80,259.03. SECTION 2. Funds for Project 21-032R (CD1916) Santa Fe Avenue and Mesa Avenue Streetscape (CDBG) shall be Project Account CD1916 – Eiler’s Neighborhood Improvements Phase II. SECTION 3. The Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of Pueblo, A Municipal Corporation, and the City Clerk shall affix the seal of the City thereto and attest the same. SECTION 4. In addition to the amount of the bid set forth, as aforementioned, an additional amount as stipulated in this section is hereby established for contingencies and additional work. Contingencies and Additional Work………$8,100.00 SECTION 5. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the contract to implement the transactions described therein. SECTION 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. AND SETTING FORTH $8,100 FOR CONTINGENCIES, FOR PROJECT NO. 21-032R (CD1916) SANTA FE AVENUE AND MESA AVENUE STREETSCAPE (CDBG) AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING AGENT TO EXECUTE SAME SUMMARY: Attached is a resolution awarding a construction contract to Cedar Ridge Landscape, Inc. for Project No. 21-032R (CD1916) Santa Fe Avenue and Mesa Avenue Streetscape (CDBG). PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: In general, this project will consist of the installation of 4” concrete, 4” colored concrete, colored concrete curb head, designed/build irrigation drip system, topsoil, landscaping and other incidental items related to construction at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and Mesa Avenue to complete the streetscape. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The cost of the construction project was bid at $80,259.03 with contingencies of $8,100.00. Funds for this project will be paid from Project Account No. CD1916 – Eiler’s Neighborhood Improvements Phase II. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None.
