A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CLOSEOUT OF EXISTING
PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT CI1707 – FLEET MAINTENANCE
MAKE-UP AIR UNIT AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF
REMAINING BUDGETED AND APPROPRIATED PUBLIC
WORKS FUNDS FROM SUCH PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$56,803.56 TO CIAN20 – CITY BUILDING REPAIRS PROJECT
FOR HVAC REPLACEMENT AT FIRE STATION NO. 3 AND HVAC
REPAIR AND SERVICE AT OTHER CITY FACILITIES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Project CI1707 – Fleet Maintenance Make-up Air Unit is hereby closed and the remaining
unencumbered appropriation balance in the budget with respect to said project totaling
$56,803.56 is hereby transferred to Project CIAN20 – City Building Repairs.
SECTION 2.
The officers of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this
Resolution to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution approves closing Project CI1502 – Fleet Maintenance Make-up Air Unit and
transferring the remaining budget to CIAN20 – City Building Repairs for HVAC replacement at
Fire Station No. 3.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On September 11, 2017, by Ordinance No. 9174, City Council approved the creation of Project
CI1707 – Fleet Maintenance Rooftop Make-up Air Unit and budgeting and appropriating capital
improvement funds in the amount of $300,000.
BACKGROUND:
The existing HVAC system at Fire Station No. 3 is currently in need of replacement. The City
intends install a new HVAC system using existing City HVAC technicians. Cost of the install is
approximately $10,000. The remaining funds from transfer will be used for any repairs and/or
service at other City facilities as needed.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
There is no increase in the amount of funds budgeted and appropriated, only a consolidation of
funds into one project.
