RESOLUTION NO. 14593
A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF
MARISA STOLLER TO THE POSITION OF CITY CLERK
WHEREAS, Mayor Nicholas A. Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City
Council of his appointment of Marisa Stoller to the vacant position of City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Stoller meets and surpasses the qualifications for appointment as
the City Clerk based upon her education, training and experience; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1:
The appointment by the Mayor of Marisa Stoller as City Clerk shall be and
hereby is confirmed by the City Council.
SECTION 2:
The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Resolution which are necessary or appropriate to implement the
appointment described herein.
SECTION 3:
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and
approval.

SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF MARISA
STOLLER TO THE POSITION OF CITY CLERK
SUMMARY:
The Mayor has appointed Marisa Stoller to the vacant position of City Clerk and
requests confirmation of said appointment by the City Council. Such appointment is
based on Ms. Stoller’s education, training, experience, and fitness for the position.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The former City Clerk, Brenda Armijo, tendered resignation in March of 2021. The
Mayor approached Ms. Stoller about the position upon hearing of her recent departure
from Pueblo County. Ms. Stoller has experience working for Pueblo County for the past
20 months as Economic Development Specialist. She has years of experience in
leadership, communication, and management. She has a Master’s Degree in Business
Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and English. The Mayor believes that
she has the management skills to organize and move the City Clerk Department
forward. Marisa Stoller is a current resident of the City of Pueblo and understands she
must maintain that residency during her term.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
The salary and benefits of the City Clerk have been budgeted and appropriated within
the 2021 budget.

Not applicable to this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
Not applicable to this Resolution.
ALTERNATIVES:
Failure to confirm the appointment of the City Clerk vacancy will result in that position
remaining vacant.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
