SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CLOSEOUT OF EXISTING PUBLIC WORKS
PROJECT CI1502 – ROOF REPLACEMENTS AND AUTHORIZING THE
TRANSFER OF REMAINING BUDGETED AND APPROPRIATED PUBLIC
WORKS FUNDS FROM SUCH PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $287,435.58 TO
CIAN22 – ROOF MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR PROJECT
SUMMARY:
This Resolution approves closing Project CI1502 – Roof Replacements and transferring the
remaining budget to CIAN22 – Roof Maintenance and Repair.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On September 25, 2017, by Ordinance No. 1981, City Council approved the creation of Project
CI1502 – Roof Replacements and budgeting and appropriating insurance proceeds in the amount
of $2,466,116.62 for hail damage repairs.
BACKGROUND:
In 2015, the main terminal, hangers, and other buildings at the Pueblo Municipal Airport sustained
significant roof damage caused by a major hailstorm. The project to repair and replace has come
to completion. By transferring the remaining balance of the closed project there will be budget
available to repair and/or replace roofs on other City facilities.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
There is no increase in the amount of funds budgeted and appropriated, only a consolidation of
funds into one project.
