HomeMy WebLinkAbout09871 ORDINANCE NO. 9871 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 FROM THE KERRY AND DAN DEROSE FAMILY FUND FOR THE GATEWAY TO THE SOUTHWEST I-25 ART PROJECT AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 TO CAPITAL PROJECT, PL1801 WHEREAS, The Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project – PL1801 has been established; and, WHEREAS, a donation in the amount of $15,000 has been offered by the Kerry and Dan DeRose Family Fund towards the Project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Funds in the amount of $15,000 from the Kerry and Dan DeRose Family Fund are hereby authorized to be accepted for the Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project. SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $15,000 are hereby budgeted and appropriated to Capital Project PL1801 - Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project. SECTION 4. The officers and staff of the City are authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with this Ordinance and to implement the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City Council. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: Brenda Armijo, City Clerk FROM: Scott Hobson, Acting Director of Planning and Community Development SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 FROM THE KERRY AND DAN DEROSE FAMILY FUND FOR THE GATEWAY TO THE SOUTHWEST I-25 ART PROJECT AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 TO CAPITAL PROJECT, PL1801 SUMMARY: This Ordinance accepts a donation from the Kerry and Dan DeRose Family Fund in the amount of $15,000, which will be budgeted and appropriated to Project PL1801, Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has accepted, budgeted and appropriated several donations from the community for the Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project. BACKGROUND: The Kerry and Dan DeRose Family Fund was approached to financially contribute to the Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project. It was the desire of the Fund to contribute to the community Project. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: The contributions of $15,000 from the Kerry and Dan DeRose Family Fund will be deposited, budgeted and appropriated into the Gateway to the Southwest I-25 Art Project, PL1801.
