A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A DONATION
OF FUNDS TO THE CITY OF PUEBLO AND PUEBLO FIRE
DEPARTMENT RELATING TO BLACK HILL ENERGY’S
DONATION OF $5,000 TO PROJECT NUMBER CO2002
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The donation of funds from Black Hills Energy (“BHE”) to the Pueblo Fire Department, in
the sum of $5,000, is hereby accepted and approved. The funds shall be accepted into Project
Number CO2002.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution and the attached agreement to effectuate the
transactions described therein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

SUMMARY:
This Resolution approves and accepts a donation of funds from Black Hills Energy (“BHE”) to
the Pueblo Fire Department (“PFD”). The monies will be a contribution toward the purchase of
high angle rescue equipment.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
City Council has routinely approved the donation to and receipt of donated funds from other
agencies.
BACKGROUND
The City of Pueblo Fire Department is seeking approval to receive a donation in the amount of
$5,000 from Black Hills Energy to be used to purchase high angle rescue equipment. The
Pueblo Fire Department conducts annual training with Black Hills Energy at the power plant and
they are assisting with the purchase of new/improved equipment to continue to make this
possible.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
None.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
If City Council does not approve this Resolution, the donated money will not be accepted. The
PFD will not be able to purchase high angle rescue equipment.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of this Resolution.
