A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE COMMUNITY
SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION (CSAC) – JOINT CITY-
COUNTY APPOINTMENT
WHEREAS, there are five(5) vacancies to be filled on the Community Services Advisory
Commission – Joint City-County appointments. Three appointments shall serve the terms
expiring April 30, 2024; one appointment remains to complete a term expiring April 30, 2022 and
one appointment remains to complete a term expiring April 20, 2021; and,
WHEREAS, this Resolution ratifies the joint appointments made following the PACOG
meeting on September 22, 2020, by City-County Representatives who were present; NOW,
THEREFORE;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The following individuals are hereby appointed to the Community Services Advisory
Commission Joint City-County Appointment to serve four-year terms expiring April 30, 2024.

SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts
consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described
herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

ADVISORY COMMISSION (CSAC) – JOINT CITY-COUNTY APPOINTMENTS
SUMMARY:
This Resolution ratifies the Joint City-County selections made to the Community Services
Advisory Commission (CSAC).
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Joint City-County appointments to the Community Services Advisory Commission are made on
th
an annual basis selecting individuals to serve staggered four-year terms expiring on April 30 of
each year. Resolutions to ratify the joint appointments are passed by each entity.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expirations of Incumbent Shaundawna Ferguson, Incumbent Regina Purcell and
Incumbent Nick Trejo, there are three appointments available to serve four-year terms expiring
April 30, 2024. Due to the resignations of Incumbent Deborah Nava Watson and Incumbent Linda
Crawford, there is one appointment available to complete a four-year term expiring April 30, 2021
and one appointment available to complete a four-year term expiring April 30, 2022 on the
Community Services Advisory Commission.
The recruitment process for 2020 was handled by the Pueblo City Staff seeking volunteers to
serve on this committee and no new applications were received. Incumbent Regina Purcell and
Incumbent Nick Trejo did wish to be considered for reappointment.
These applications were reviewed following the PACOG meeting held on September 24, 2020,
and all applicants were acceptable for reappointment. Due to the pandemic, there were no
PACOG meetings held from February 2020 to August 2020.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
None.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
The Community Services Advisory Commission studies the needs of the community in the areas
of health and human services, recreation, arts and culture, environmental/conservation and
economic development; reviews and analyzes proposals that are submitted to the Pueblo County
and City of Pueblo Partnership during the annual Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including
conducting interviews and performing site visits of agencies submitting proposals; makes final
recommendations to the City and County officials for funding consideration on an annual basis,
or as needed in an emergency situation; and works on other issues and projects as assigned to
them by the Public Officials.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council in agreement with the County Commissioners could remove the Resolution from the
Agenda, request that the recruitment process be extended in order to receive additional
applications for consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Resolution.
