Gradisar has requested confirmation by the City Council of his appointment of the following individual to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission-City Appointment to serve a four-year term expiring October 1, 2022; NOW THEREFORE, Albert Herrera BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1: The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission- City Appointment to serve a four-year term expiring October 1, 2022. Albert Herrera SECTION 2: The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. Gradisar, Mayor VIA: City Clerk’s Office FROM: Brenda Armijo, City Clerk SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF A MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING COMMISSION – CITY APPOINTMENT SUMMARY: This Resolution confirms the appointment by the Mayor of a member to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission – City Appointment for a three-year term expiring October 1, 2022. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: City Council has made appointments to the Pueblo Regional Building Commission selecting individuals as City appointments to serve terms which expire at the end of a particular calendar year. Amended City Charter Section 4-4 (i) now requires that such appointments be made by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council. BACKGROUND: Due to the term expiration of Incumbent Albert Herrera, there is one appointment available to serve a three-year term expiring October 1, 2022 on the Regional Building Commission-City Appointment. Following an advertisement published in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City Clerk’s webpage seeking volunteers to serve on this commission, no new applications were received. Incumbent Albert Herrera does wish to be considered for reappointment. The application was reviewed by Mayor Gradisar and his recommendation is to reappoint Mr. Albert Herrera. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None.
