AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE LAKE MINNEQUA
SUBDIVISION PROJECT NO. CI1915, TRANSFERRING
$17,000 FROM THE PLANNING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT 101-11101-
53001 AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING $17,000
FOR SAID PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
The Lake Minnequa Subdivision Project, CI1915, is hereby established.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $17,000 are hereby transferred from the Planning and
Community Development Department professional services account 101-11101-53001
into Project No. CI1915, and budgeted and appropriated for said Project.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of the Ordinance to implement the policies and
procedures described therein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and
City Council.

SUMMARY:
This Ordinance establishes Project No. CI1915, transfers $17,000 from the Planning and
Community Development department professional services account 101-11101-53001
and budgets and appropriates $17,000 for the Lake Minnequa Subdivision Project.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
This Ordinance establishes the Lake Minnequa Subdivision Project, CI1915, transfers
funds in the amount of $17,000 from the City Planning and Community Development
Department’s professional services account and budget and appropriates said funds. The
subdivision of the Lake Minnequa area is separate from the County 1A funded park
improvements. In order to not commingle the subdivision and the County 1A construction
funding, a separate project is being established for the subdivision of the property. The
property is currently subdivided into twenty-five (25) foot wide lots with streets and alleys.
The development of the Lake Minnequa Park and the new alignment of Palmer Avenue
does not follow the current lot, street and alley layout. With the construction of the building
over the existing lots, subdivision of the existing Sunny Side Subdivision is necessary.
The establishment of the Project and transfer of funds from the Planning and Community
Development Department will enable the City to have the funds available in 2020 to
complete the Subdivision Project.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
By transferring the funds from the Planning and Community Development Department’s
professional services account into Project CI1915, the project expenses can be paid, if
necessary, into 2020.

ALTERNATIVES:
Currently, there are no alternatives for completing the Project without the funding from
the Planning and Community Development Department.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Ordinance.
