TWENTY-FIVE
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($25,000) FROM THE FUND
BALANCE ACCOUNT OF THE GENERAL FUND, AND
BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING SUCH FUNDS TO
THE PUEBLO AREA LAW ENFORCEMENT CHAPLAINS
CORPS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Funds in the amount of $25,000 are hereby authorized to be transferred from the Fund
Balance Account of the General Fund to the Pueblo Area Law Enforcement Chaplains Corps,
and, the Budgeting and Appropriating of such funds.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and all acts
consistent with this Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of final action by the Mayor and City
Council.

DOLLARS ($25,000) FROM THE FUND BALANCE ACCOUNT OF THE
GENERAL FUND, AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING SUCH
FUNDS TO THE PUEBLO AREA LAW ENFORCEMENT CHAPLAINS
CORPS
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance will transfer $25,000 from the Fund Balance Account of the General Fund
to the Pueblo Area Law Enforcement Chaplains Corps, for the Permanent Solutions for
Little People and their Guardians.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On October 7, 2019, a presentation was made at the Executive Committee of the Pueblo
City Council, requesting $25,000 toward returning children and adults to their home of
origin.
BACKGROUND:
The Permanent Solutions for Little People and their Guardians is an existing program,
which through the Pueblo Area Law Enforcement Chaplains Corps, assists and
coordinates to repatriate homeless people by returning children and adults to their home
of origin.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $25,000 shall be transferred from the Fund Balance Account of
the General Fund to the Pueblo Area Law Enforcement Chaplains Corps.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council may choose to not authorize the transfer, and not authorize the budget and
appropriation of such funds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approve the Ordinance
