ORDINANCE NO. 3 5 7 8
AN ORDINANCE. ANNEXING A PARCEL OF LAND COlNTAINING
118 ACRES MORE OR LESS AND COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE
EL REY & CURLeSSVILLE AREAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1.
The City Council finds that the area described in Section 2 of this
ordinance is eligible to be annexed to the City of Pueblo fox the following
reasons: 1) It is desirable and necessary that the territory herein described
be annexed to the City of Pueblo. 2) Not less than 1/6 of the perimeter of the
area proposed to be annexed is contiguous to existing City limits of the City of
Pueblo. 3) A community of interest exists between the territory proposed to be
annexed and the City of Pueblo, 4) The territory proposed to be annexed is
urban or will be urbanized in the near future. 5) The territory proposed to be
annexed is integrated, or is capable of being integrated, with the City of
Pueblo. 6) All other requirements of 1963 C.R.SO , 139-21-3 and -4 exist or
are met. 7) The signers of the petition for annexation comprise the landowners
of more than 50% of the territory included in the area proposed to be annexed,
exclusive of streets and alleys.
SECTION 2.
The following dei acibed ;property is hereby annexed to Pueblo, Colorado
and it is directed that the maps and plats of said territory be executed, filed,
and recorded :
All of the W of the SW's, of Section 32, Township 20 South, Range
64 West of the 6th P.M., lying Northerly of the North Right-of-
UUay Line of the A.T. & S.F. Rail4oad, and except that portion now
within the Present City Limits; all of Curlissville Subdivision,
filed for record on May 11, 1955; All of Blocks 311* 312, 32.1,
322, 331, 332, a4l, 342, 351 and 361, and a portion of Blocks
352, 362 end 371, lying Northwesterly of the North Right-of-Way
Line of the A.T.. . & S.M. Railroad, in Wiley & Chamberlin Subdi-
vision, filed for record Jute 9, 1887; being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Present City Limits Line, said point
also being the Northwest corner of Block 313 of said Wiley &
Chamberlin Subdivision; thence South along the East Right-of-Way
Line of Portland Avenue, a distance of 1520 feet, more or less,
to a point on the Northerly right-of-way line of the A.T. & S.F.
Railroad; thelce Southwesterly along said Northerly right-of-
way line, the following two courses:

1. Southerest:er.ly, a distance of 1125 feet, more or less;
2. Oa a curse to the right an approximate distance of 945
feet to a point on the Present City Limits Line; thence
N.29°-W. a distance of 592 feet, more or less; thence
West a distance of 350 feet, more or less to a point on
the West line of said Section 32; thence North along the
West line of said Section 32, a distance of 2006 feet,
more or less to the Rest one-quarter corner of said Sec-
tion 32; thence East along the East-West centerline of
said Section 32, a distance of 1306 feet, more or less;
thence South 80 feet, more or less to a point on the
South right-of-way line of Beech Street; thence East
along said South right-of-way line a distance of 1120
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage
and approval.
