HomeMy WebLinkAbout09453As Amended May 13, 2019 ORDINANCE NO. 9453 AN ORDINANCE INCREASING FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $8,000 TO PROJECT CI1821 - HOMELESS WARMING SHELTER BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Fund Balance Account of the General Funds in the amount of $8,000 from the 2019 Fund will be transferred to Project CI1821. These funds will pay the invoices generated in the last month of operation of the Homeless Warming Shelter. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of the Ordinance and Agreement to effectuate the policies and procedures described therein. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final action by the Mayor and City Council. Action by City Council: Introduced and initial adoption of Ordinance by City Council on . Gradisar, Mayor SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS NOT TO EXCEED $8,000.00 TO PROJECT NUMBER CI1821 - HOMELESS WARMING SHELTER SUMMARY: This Ordinance increases the funding for Project No. CI1821 for payment of invoices generated in the last month of operation of the Homeless Warming Shelter. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: On November 12, 2018, Ordinance No. 9369 established Project No. CI1821 and budgeted and appropriated funding of $250,000 for the Homeless Warming Shelter. BACKGROUND: The additional funds will be used to pay for utilities, rentals, and security services for the final month of operation of the Homeless Warming Shelter. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $8,000 are being transferred from the 2019 Fund Balance Account of the General Fund to Project No. CI1821- Homeless Warming Shelter. This increase will bring the total budgeted and appropriated funds for this project to $258,000. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: If City Council does not approve this Ordinance, there will be no funds to pay the final invoices. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Ordinance. Attachments: Proposed Ordinance
