HomeMy WebLinkAbout14102 RESOLUTION NO. 14102 A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A DONATION OF EQUIPMENT TO THE CITY OF PUEBLO AND PUEBLO POLICE DEPARTMENT RELATING TO THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS (DOC) GIFT OF A CARPORT AND INSTALLATION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) gift of a carport to the Pueblo Police Department, valued at $3,980.00 is hereby accepted and approved. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described therein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon final passage. Davenport, Chief of Police SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A DONATION OF EQUIPMENT TO THE CITY OF PUEBLO AND PUEBLO POLICE DEPARTMENT RELATING TO THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS (DOC) GIFT OF A CARPORT AND INSTALLATION SUMMARY: Attached is a Resolution outlining the donation of a 12’ X 51’ X 7’ carport to the Pueblo Police Department by the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) to be installed at the Police Shooting Range located at 900 Gruma Road. The carport will be utilized as a shade structure for students utilizing the range. The total amount of the structure and installation is $3980.00. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Previous donations of this nature have routinely been approved. BACKGROUND: This donation, if approved, will improve the Police Department Shooting Facility and enhance the training experience. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This donation will require minimal staff time to oversee the installation of the carport. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: There is no stakeholder process required for this grant. ALTERNATIVES: City Council may choose to refuse the donation of equipment. RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the Resolution and accept the donation. Attachments:
