HomeMy WebLinkAbout09350 ORDINANCE NO. 9350 AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE 2018 FUND BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 TO PROJECT TP1840 – PUEBLO TRANSIT RELOCATION STUDY AND $450,000 TO PROJECT PL0804 – CITY CENTER AND SANTA FE STREETSCAPE AND CREATING PROJECT CI1819 – EAGLERIDGE & DILLON DESIGN AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE FUND BALANCE OF THE 2018 GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 TO SAID PROJECT WHEREAS, Capital Project TP1840 – Pueblo Transit Relocation Study and Project PL0804 – City Center and Santa Fe Streetscape are established projects in need of additional funds for completion; and WHEREAS, it is necessary and appropriate to establish Capital Project CI1819 – Eagleridge and Dillon Design project and to budget and appropriate funds for same; and WHEREAS, funds are available for use from the 2018 Fund Balance of the General Fund; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Funds in the amount of amount of $100,000 are hereby authorized to be transferred, expended, and made available out of the 2018 Fund Balance of the General Fund and are hereby budgeted and appropriated to Project TP1840 – Pueblo Transit Relocation Study. SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of amount of $450,000 are hereby authorized to be transferred, expended, and made available out of the 2018 Fund Balance of the General Fund and are hereby budgeted and appropriated to project PL0804 – City Center and Santa Fe Streetscape. SECTION 3. Project No. CI1819 – Eagleridge & Dillon Design is hereby established. Funds in the amount of amount of $250,000 are hereby authorized to be transferred, expended, and made available out of the 2018 Fund Balance of the General Fund and are hereby budgeted and appropriated to said project. SECTION 4. The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and all acts consistent with this Ordinance to implement the policies and procedures established herein. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval. Nicoll and Members of City Council VIA: Brenda Armijo, Acting City Clerk FROM: Sam Azad, City Manager SUBJECT: AN ORDINANCE BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE 2018 FUND BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000 TO PROJECT TP1840 – PUEBLO TRANSIT RELOCATION STUDY AND $450,000 TO PROJECT PL0804 – CITY CENTER AND SANTA FE STREETSCAPE AND CREATING PROJECT CI1819 – EAGLERIDGE & DILLON DESIGN AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE FUND BALANCE OF THE 2018 GENERAL FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $250,000 TO SAID PROJECT SUMMARY: This Ordinance creates project CI1819 Eagleridge & Dillon Design and transfer money from the 2018 fund balance of the General Fund to three projects. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: Staff is recommending transferring money from the 2018 fund balance of the General Fund in order to fund the following three projects:  CI1819 Eagleridge & Dillon Design - $250,000. Project will contract with a consultant to provide construction drawing for the roundabout at the intersection of Eagleridge & Dillon.  TP1840 Pueblo Transit Relocation Study - $100,000. Funds will supplement the $100,000 committed by PACOG to the Transit Administration and Maintenance Facility Relocation study. Consultant contract will be presented to City Council in early October 2018 should this ordinance be approved.  PL0804 City Center and Santa Fe Streetscape - $450,000. Funds will supplement existing project budget for the reconstruction of City Center and Santa Fe Streetscape project. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds will be transferred from the 2018 fund balance of the General Fund. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not Applicable ALTERNATIVES: Denial of the Ordinance will cancel the project Pueblo Transit Relocation study and the Dillon and Eagleridge design project and will delay the City Center and Santa Fe Streetscape project. RECOMMENDATION : Approval of the Ordinance. Attachments: None
