HomeMy WebLinkAbout14008RESOLUTION NO. 14008 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A COMMERCIAL SERVICE OPERATOR MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The following individual is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee for a term expiring July 31, 2021: Jamie DeVencenty, Rocky Mountain Flower FBO SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. Nicoll and Members of City Council CC: Sam Azad, City Manager VIA: Brenda Armijo, Acting City Clerk FROM: Ian Turner – Director of Aviation SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A COMMERCIAL SERVICE OPERATOR MEMBER TO THE PUEBLO MEMORIAL AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE SUMMARY: This Resolution ratifies the selection of a representative of the Airport’s Commercial Service Operators (“Operator”) to the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee (“Committee”) to serve a three-term expiring on July 31, 2021. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: On May 22, 2006, City Council approved Resolution No. 10727 that changed the membership of the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee to include a Commercial Service Operator representative. Since that time, City Council has appointed a Commercial Service Operator representative to the Committee. Jamie DeVencenty was previously appointed to completed a term as the thst Commercial Service Operator representative from May 11, 2015 to July 31, 2015 by Resolution No. 13230. Resolution 13274 appointed Ms. DeVencenty to her first full term from August 1, 2015 to July 31, 2018. BACKGROUND Resolution No. 10727 states that City Council shall appoint a Commercial Service Operator representative to the Airport Advisory Committee based on input from a consortium of the Commercial Service Operators. Airport staff contacted all the Commercial Service Operators in June 2018. Ms. DeVencenty expressed her interest to continue as the Commercial Service Operator representative. Representatives from Sibran Properties, LLC. and DB Aero, LLC, dba Steel City Aviation, declined interest in filling this position. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable for this Resolution. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: If Council does not approve the appointment, the Operator’s representative position on the Committee will remain vacant. RECOMMENDATION Approval of this Resolution. Attachments:
