Home My WebLink About13987RESOLUTION NO. 13987 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING DEPARTMENTS’ BUILDING, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL AND PLUMBING BOARDS OF APPEALS - JOINT CITY-COUNTY APPOINTMENTS WHEREAS, membership terms on each of the Building, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing Boards of Appeals of the Pueblo Regional Building Department will expire on July 1, 2018; and WHEREAS, each of the appointments required to fill the expired terms requires agreed- upon appointments of both the City Council of Pueblo and the Pueblo County Commissioners pursuant to the provisions of the Amended Pueblo Regional Building Department Agreement between the City of Pueblo and Pueblo County, dated August 10, 1981, and the City and County have now agreed as to those individuals they desire to appoint to serve membership terms on the aforementioned Boards; and WHEREAS, the City Council, in conjunction with the County of Pueblo, now desires to reappoint those individuals named below for three-year terms expiring July 1, 2021; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1: The following individuals are hereby reappointed to the indicated Boards of Appeals - Joint City/County appointments for three-year terms expiring July 1, 2021: BUILDING BOARD OF APPEALS MECHANICAL BOARD OF APPEALS Rodney Scott (General Contractor) Louis Fesmire III (Journeyman) Matthew Dick (Experienced Person) ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS PLUMBING BOARD OF APPEALS Charles Montera (Contractor) Dennis Gardner (Journeyman) Daniel Henderson (Engineer) SECTION 2: The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: Appointments to the Pueblo Regional Building Departments’ Boards of Appeals are made on an st annual basis for staggered three-year terms. Current terms expire on July 1 of each year. BACKGROUND: Due to the regular term expirations of the following individuals on the Pueblo Regional Building Departments’ Technical Boards of Appeal, there are six vacancies available to serve three-year terms expiring July 1, 2021. BUILDING BOARD OF APPEALS MECHANICAL BOARD OF APPEALS Rodney Scott (General Contractor)-Incumbent Louis Fesmire III (Journeyman)-Incumbent Matthew Dick (Experienced Person)-Incumbent ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS PLUMBING BOARD OF APPEALS Charles Montera (Contractor)-Incumbent Dennis Gardner (Journeyman)-Incumbent Daniel Henderson (Engineer)-Incumbent An advertisement was published in the Pueblo Chieftain, announcements were made on the City Clerk’s and on the Pueblo County’s webpages seeking volunteers to serve on this committee. No New applications were received. The incumbents for Building Board of Appeals, Mechanical Board of Appeals, and Plumbing Board of Appeals do wish to be reappointed. Following the PACOG meeting on May 24, 2018, the BOCC and Council members who were present selected and accepted the listed individuals for appointment. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: None. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: None.
