AP1802 IN THE AVIATION GRANTS FUND, ACCEPTING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,067.74 FROM THE PUEBLO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $716.30 FROM THE AIRPORT ADVERTISING FUND PROJECT NO. AP1702, TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000.00 FROM THE 2018 AIRPORT ADVERTISING BUDGET, AND BUDGETING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,784.04 TO PROJECT NO. AP1802 SUMMARY: This Ordinance will provide funding to increase the awareness and utilization of airport services at the Pueblo Memorial Airport. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: On July 10, 2017, City Council passed an Ordinance that established the Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1702 and appropriated funds to said project. BACKGROUND The Pueblo County Commissioners provided $24,067.74 to the Airport on April 9, 2018 to be spent on increasing the awareness and utilization of airport services. City Council approved a Capital Project in 2017 for this purpose and all funds in the project were spent except for $716.30. A new Capital Project is being established to track the use of the 2018 funds. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $24,067.74 that were received from the Pueblo County Commissioners will be budgeted and appropriated into Project AP1802. Funds in the amount of $716.30 will be transferred from Project AP1702 to Project AP1802. Funds in the amount of $10,000.00 will be transferred from the 2018 Airport Advertising Budget to Project AP1802. Total project funds will be $34,784.04. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not applicable. ALTERNATIVES: If this Ordinance is not approved, the funds from the Pueblo County Commissioners will remain in the General Fund and will not be used as intended by the Pueblo Board of County Commissioners. The funds in the Airport budget will be utilized for advertising and the funds in Project AP1702 will remain in that project. RECOMMENDATION The Department of Aviation recommends approval of this Ordinance. Attachments: None ORDINANCE NO. 9282 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AIRPORT ADVERTISING FUND PROJECT NO. AP1802 WHEREAS, the Pueblo County Commissioners provided funds to the Pueblo Memorial Airport to increase the awareness and utilization of airport services; and WHEREAS, a project needs to be established and the funds budgeted and appropriated; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. The Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1802 is hereby established. SECTION 2. Funds in the amount of $24,067.74 shall be accepted from the Pueblo County Commissioners and budgeted and appropriated into the Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1802. SECTION 3. Funds in the amount of $716.30 shall be transferred from the Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1702 and deposited into the Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1802. SECTION 4. Funds in the amount of $10,000.00 shall be transferred from the 2018 Airport Advertising Budget and deposited into the Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1802. SECTION 5. Funds in the total amount of $34,784.04 are hereby budgeted and appropriated for the Airport Advertising Fund Project No. AP1802. SECTION 6. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Ordinance to effectuate the policies and procedures described therein. SECTION 7. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon final passage and approval.
