IN THE AMOUNT OF $720 TO TH SPONSOR THE 28 ANNUAL DANA CRAWFORD AND STATE HONOR AWARDS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Payment in the amount of $720 from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2018 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to Colorado Preservation, Inc. for the th City of Pueblo to be a Patron Sponsor of the 28 Annual Dana Crawford and State Honor Awards and purchase two additional tickets. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: None. BACKGROUND: Council Member Ed Brown is requesting $720 for the City of Pueblo to be a Patron th Sponsor for the 28 Annual Dana Crawford and State Honor Awards and purchase two additional tickets to the event. The Goodnight Barn project will be awarded the Endangered Places Progress Award at this event. These tickets will be used by the Goodnight Barn Preservation Committee members to attend this event and receive the award. This committee has been instrumental in the preservation of the Goodnight Barn. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: Funds in the amount of $720 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in the 2018 General Fund Budget to Colorado Preservation, Inc. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: Not Applicable. ALTERNATIVES: City Council could choose not to authorize funding for this event. In 2015 we began honoring progress made by sites named one of Colorado's Most Endangered. It is with great honor that we notify you that Goodnight Barn has been selected as a recipient of Colorado Preservation Inc.'s 2018 Endangered Places Progress Award. The City's passion and commitment to rehabilitating the Goodnight Barn is an inspiration to those who care about Colorado's remarkable history. Your efforts exemplify the ideals of Historic Preservation and Preservation Leadership and we look forward to celebrating the tremendous progress you've made in protecting this important place. The 28th Annual Dana Crawford and State Honor Awards will be held Wednesday,May 9,2018 at Seawell Ballroom in Denver. In addition to the EPP Progress Award,we will be recognizing four projects with State Honor Awards,one project with our Preservation Edge Award and will be presenting the Dana Crawford Award to Rebecca Goodwin for her dedication to historic preservation.
