ORDINANCE NO. 9246
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE FIRE STATION
FACILITIES CONDITION ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. CI
1812 AND BUDGETING, APPROPRIATING AND
TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $95,000 FROM
THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR SAID PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Project No. CI 1812, Fire Station Facility Condition Assessment, is hereby established
in the Capital Improvements Fund.
SECTION 2.
Funds in the amount of $95,000 are hereby authorized to be budgeted,
appropriated and transferred from the Capital Improvements Fund Balance Account to
Project No. CI 1812.
SECTION 3.
The officers and staff of the City are authorized and directed to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Ordinance to effectuate the policies and
procedures described herein.
SECTION 4.
This Ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days following final passage and
approval.

ASSESSMENT PROJECT NO. CI1812 AND BUDGETING, APPROPRIATING
AND TRANSFERRING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $95,000 FROM THE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR SAID PROJECT
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance establishes Project No. CI1812 for the Fire Station Facilities Condition
Assessment, and budgets and appropriates funds in the amount of $95,000 therefore.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
This ordinance appropriates funds to be used for a fire station assessment study. This study will
produce a report identifying needed safety improvements, repairs, and spatial needs for eight of
the City’s older fire stations. The report will also list priorities, costs, and options for completing
the needed work. This study will become the master plan for identifying future capital needs
related to fire department facilities.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This project is being funded through the City’s 2018 capital improvements fund balance.

ALTERNATIVES:
No other funding mechanism is currently under consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the Ordinance.
