SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN ELECTRIC UTILITY EMPLOYEE
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING DEPARTMENTS’
ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS
SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints a representative of Black Hills Energy (“Employee”) to the Pueblo
Regional Building Departments’ Electrical Board of Appeals (“Board”) to serve a three-year term
expiring July 1, 2020.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
On April 12, 1993, City Council approved Ordinance No. 5796 that changed the membership of
the Board to include an Electric Utility Employee representative. Since that time, City Council
has appointed an Electric Utility Employee representative to the Board with the last appointment
being done on July 14, 2014.
BACKGROUND
With the term expiration and retirement of Employee Kevin Warmack there is one appointment
available to serve a three-year term expiring July 1, 2020 on the Pueblo Regional Building
Departments’ Electrical Board of Appeals. On February 22, 2018, the City Clerk’s office was
notified by Black Hills Energy that Employee Seth Boutilier would now be the representative
assigned to this particular Board.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.
BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
Not Applicable for this Resolution.
STAKEHOLDER PROCESS:
None.
ALTERNATIVES:
If City Council does not approve this appointment, the Electric Utility Employee Representative
position on the Board will be vacant.
