HomeMy WebLinkAbout13919RESOLUTION NO. 13919 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN ELECTRIC UTILITY EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING DEPARTMENTS’ ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that: SECTION 1. Seth Boutilier is hereby appointed to the Pueblo Regional Building Departments’ Electrical Board of Appeals for a term expiring July 1, 2020. SECTION 2. The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and procedures described herein. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval. Nicholl and Members of City Council CC: Sam Azad, City Manager VIA: City Clerk’s Office FROM: Brenda Armijo, Acting City Clerk SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN ELECTRIC UTILITY EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PUEBLO REGIONAL BUILDING DEPARTMENTS’ ELECTRICAL BOARD OF APPEALS SUMMARY: This Resolution appoints a representative of Black Hills Energy (“Employee”) to the Pueblo Regional Building Departments’ Electrical Board of Appeals (“Board”) to serve a three-year term expiring July 1, 2020. PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION: On April 12, 1993, City Council approved Ordinance No. 5796 that changed the membership of the Board to include an Electric Utility Employee representative. Since that time, City Council has appointed an Electric Utility Employee representative to the Board with the last appointment being done on July 14, 2014. BACKGROUND With the term expiration and retirement of Employee Kevin Warmack there is one appointment available to serve a three-year term expiring July 1, 2020 on the Pueblo Regional Building Departments’ Electrical Board of Appeals. On February 22, 2018, the City Clerk’s office was notified by Black Hills Energy that Employee Seth Boutilier would now be the representative assigned to this particular Board. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS: This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not Applicable for this Resolution. STAKEHOLDER PROCESS: None. ALTERNATIVES: If City Council does not approve this appointment, the Electric Utility Employee Representative position on the Board will be vacant.
