A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FROM THE
COUNCIL CONTINGENCIES ACCOUNT IN THE 2018 GENERAL
FUND BUDGET TO BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF PUEBLO IN THE
AMOUNT OF $1,000 TO PURCHASE A TABLE FOR THE
CHAMPIONS OF YOUTH DINNER
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, that:
SECTION 1.
Payment in the amount of $1,000 from the Council Contingencies Account in the
2018 General Fund Budget is authorized to be paid to the Boys & Girls Club of Pueblo to
purchase a table for the Champions of Youth Dinner on March 1, 2018.
SECTION 2.
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and
procedures described herein.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall become effective upon passage and approval.

SUMMARY:
Attached for consideration is an invitation to the Champions of Youth Dinner on March 1,
2018.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
None.
BACKGROUND:
Council Member Ray Aguilera is requesting the purchase of a table in the amount of
$1,000 for this event. More than 50 Club members will be honored for their achievements
in Educational & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness
& Recreation. The Club’s 2018 Youth of the Year, Grand Champion of Youth, Volunteer
of the Year and Friend of the Year will also be recognized.
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Funds in the amount of $1,000 would be paid from the Council Contingencies Account in
the 2018 General Fund Budget to the Boys & Girls Club of Pueblo County.

Not Applicable.

ALTERNATIVES:
Council could choose not to authorize funding for this event.
