A RESOLUTION APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE
HISTORIC ARKANSAS RIVERWALK OF PUEBLO (HARP)
FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS - CITY
APPOINTMENT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PUEBLO, COLORADO, that:
SECTION 1
The following individual is hereby appointed to the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of
Pueblo (HARP) Foundation Board of Directors to serve a three-year term expiring
December 31, 2020:
Marty Garcia
SECTION 2
The officers and staff of the City are directed and authorized to perform any and
all acts consistent with the intent of this Resolution to effectuate the policies and
procedures described herein.
SECTION 3
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage and approval.

CITY APPOINTMENT
SUMMARY:
This Resolution appoints one member as a City Appointment to the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk
of Pueblo (HARP) Foundation Board of Directors for a three-year term expiring December 31,
2020.
PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION:
Appointments to the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) Foundation Board of
Directors as a City Appointment are made on an annual basis selecting individuals to serve a
st
three-year term expiring on December 31 of each year.
BACKGROUND:
Due to the term expiration of Committee member Heraldo Acosta there is one position to be made
on the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) Foundation Board of Directors as a City
Appointment. Incumbent Heraldo Acosta does wish to be considered for reappointment.
Following advertisements in the Pueblo Chieftain and an announcement on the City’s webpage
seeking volunteers to serve on this committee, three new applications were received. All
applicants are residents of the City of Pueblo
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
This is a volunteer committee and members serve without compensation.

ALTERNATIVES:
Remove the Resolution, request that the recruitment process be extended, and re-advertise for
additional applications.
